JYH is the primary school closest to the Summersdale Area. There is a proposal to move it further away to a locus on Minerva Heights. As that area expands with family houses, it could overwhelm JYH and render Summersdale to being out of catchment area in time.

The formal consultation on Jessie Young husband relocation is due to start on 18th April.

Please see attached statement, which was released by the governors yesterday, Fri, Jan 12, 2024. It (finally) gives clarity on their position and confirms they object to the proposal and the reasons why.
I wondered if you might be able to circulate this to members of the SRA and ask them to fill in the survey and petition on the save Jessie website..

We have now hit over 500 signed petitions, so are hopeful the survey numbers are high enough to get Gillian’s attention.
