Brandy Hole Copse
Brandy Hole Copse is a 6.5-hectare (16-acre) Local Nature Reserve on the western outskirts of Chichester. It is owned and managed by Chichester District Council. Part of the site, known as Chichester Dyke, is a Scheduled Monument.
The reserve includes broadleaved and coniferous woodland, open water, marshland, heath, tall fern and herbs. Wildlife recorded here includes pipistrelle bats. Access is from Brandy Hole Lane, and the Centurion Way runs through the site.

The Friends of Brandy Hole Copse urgently need more volunteers for their committee, as well as people who can help with the monthly working party, whether through maintenance or survey activities. Their support helps protect and preserve this valuable local nature reserve, and Summersdale residents are encouraged to get involved.
