Goodwood
Goodwood sits in 11,000 acres of the beautiful South Downs and offers three of the biggest events in the social and sporting calendar - The Festival of Speed, Qatar Goodwood Festival and Goodwood Revival. It is a place where world-class events, rich motoring heritage and the local community all come together. Each year, Goodwood contributes around £450 million to the UK economy, with clear benefits for Chichester and the wider West Sussex area.
Motor racing takes place over 200 days a year on the famous motor circuit located on Goodwood aerodrome. Events operate within strict noise limits - a sophisticated noise monitoring system, with sensors placed around the track, ensures that drivers operate within specified noise limits. There were three recorded breaches of the noise limits in 2025. The highest, unrestricted, noise levels are allowed on only five days each year.
The Aerodrome is also the base for the Goodwood Aero Club and the Goodwood Flying school which provides trial lessons and flying instruction from first flight up to aerobatics and advanced courses for qualified pilots. The Flying School operates a fleet of four ‘state of the art’ Cessna 172s, a historical Harvard and a Piper Super Cub.
